GridPartner – From Grid Data to Grid-Friendly Operation

In cooperation with grid operators, we develop operating strategies for battery storage systems based on real local grid conditions.
By analyzing historical grid data, we define transparent operational boundaries that ensure a grid-supportive and economically viable operation.

Our approach:

  1. Data Collection: Analyze historical load and voltage profiles, switching states, and known congestion periods (provided by grid operators).
  2. Context Analysis: Integrate forecasts for wind and solar generation, as well as load and weather data.
  3. Joint Strategy Design: Define operational parameters such as power ranges, ramp limits, and voltage support requirements in collaboration with grid operators.
  4. Implementation & Monitoring: As the storage operator, we apply these strategies directly and continuously monitor their impact.

Digital Twin – Our Predictive Tool

The Digital Twin digitally replicates the grid connection point, combining:

  • Historical grid data (e.g., load, voltage, congestion windows)
  • Local forecasts for wind and solar generation
  • Additional parameters such as load and weather forecasts

This predictive model enables early detection of grid bottlenecks and dynamic adjustment of storage performance before critical conditions arise.

Contribution to Grid Integration:

  • Prevents congestion through forecast-based power management
  • Ensures transparent cooperation with grid operators
  • Facilitates the integration of wind and solar power into the energy system
