Battery storage is the missing link between renewable energy producers and industrial consumers. Only with large-scale storage can the energy transition succeed, ushering in the shift from the fossil age to the electric era. ECO STOR’s large-scale storage systems are connected directly at the interface between distribution and transmission grids, enabling participation in multiple electricity markets and accelerating the transition toward a clean and secure energy system.
Each ECO STOR installation has a standard capacity of 238 MWh, which can be easily scaled up to more than 700 MWh thanks to our modular design. Our goal is to realize 30 sites across Germany with a total capacity of 10 GWh by 2030.
Consumers continuously require energy from the grid. Many are not able to adapt their consumption flexibly to the fluctuating production from wind and solar.
Wind and solar plants produce depending on weather conditions. The plants cannot adapt their production to the requirements of the consumers.
